Mike Comfort has been a licensed attorney since 1977 and has represented thousands of clients and small business owners over the last 34 years in reorganization and liquidation bankruptcies. Due to his extensive experience and expertise, Mr. Comfort has been an invited guest speaker at the civic, college and professional level. He has been quoted by CNN News, USA Today and the Kiplinger Letter, and has appeared on Public Television. He was a recent guest speaker for KLAW Radio. Mike is a long time resident of the San Francisco Bay Area graduating from the University of San Francisco in 1973 with a Bachelor's Degree in English, and Lincoln University Law School where he graduated with honors in 1977.
Leigh Comfort, Manager/Paralegal
Leigh Comfort has worked as a paralegal for over two decades and manages the operational functions of the Comfort Law Office. She is often the client's first point of contact and enjoys a stellar reputation in effectively handling client issues with a proactive knowledge of bankruptcy. Leigh's ability to understand and sense each client's personal experience provides our clients with the opportunity to feel understood and supported throughout bankruptcy process. Leigh is a California native, graduating from Mercy High School in Burlingame, and then attending the University of San Francisco where she graduated with a B.A. in Sociology.
Alan Sherman, Director Debt Negotiation & Settlement
Alan Sherman was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He has worked in sales management and consultancy since 1972. While attending the New York University Mr. Sherman started personnel and recruiting agency. Over a 5 year period he owned and operated five agencies located in New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Orlando. After selling the agencies he accepted the position of Vice President of Agency Development at a major Insurance company where he was instrumental in opening international offices in Canada, London, Scotland, France and Spain as well in the US. In 1985 Alan moved to California and began operating a business consulting firm supporting small business owners in contract, lender and vendor negotiations. Alan joined the Comfort Law Office in June 2009 to initiate and manage the Debt Settlement department.
Vinod Nichani, Attorney at Law
Mr. Nichani joined Comfort Law Office in 2010, bringing with him extensive knowledge of legal and business matters. While in law school, Mr. Nichani worked as a law clerk in the areas of civil litigation, real estate, trusts and estates, and debtor representation in Chapter 7, 13 and 11 bankruptcies. Prior to law school he had a career in commercial real estate specializing in investment and finance.
In his practice, he focuses on debtor representation in Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcies, estate planning and corporate formation. Mr. Nichani is licensed with the State Bar of California.
